Kratom Recipes To Try

If you’ve ever done the kratom toss and wash method—one of the most popular ways to consume kratom powder. You may have quickly discovered that kratom’s flavor can leave something to be desired. Kratom’s earthy, slightly acrid taste can make it very difficult to eat on its own.

This is why many people add it to tea or other drinks to minimize the flavor. However, if you don’t feel like drinking tea every day or adding it to orange juice. There are other, more creative kratom recipes you can try that will allow you the benefit of kratom’s effects without getting the bitter taste.

One concern people have is how mixing kratom with food will affect its potency. After all, there’s not much use in making it taste better if it won’t do anything! You’ll be happy to learn that using kratom in recipes will not dilute its effects, however, it may take a little longer to kick in when it’s mixed with food.

While heat has not been shown to destroy kratom’s alkaloids, we offer some cold, easy to make recipes so you can prepare your kratom faster.

Applesauce

Whether you make your own applesauce or prefer store-bought, it’s the perfect way to taste the acrid taste out of your kratom powder without diminishing its potency.

Mix 5 grams of kratom powder with a cup of applesauce.

A tablespoon of cinnamon, and a sprinkle of brown sugar. Mix it well and let it sit in the fridge for 10 minutes and enjoy it!

Yogurt

Another great medium for kratom is yogurt. We especially love thick, creamy yogurt varieties for this like Greek yogurt. Flavors like lemon or coconut work especially well to disguise the bitter taste of the kratom powder. Mix your usual dose in with your yogurt, stir well, and enjoy. This one is especially handy if you’re taking your kratom at work.

Coconut milk smoothie

We love this recipe for our morning kratom dosage, and it’s especially handy if you’re using kratom to kick a coffee habit. To make, mix 1 cup of coconut milk, a handful of pistachios, some frozen berries like blueberries or strawberries, a scoop of vanilla or mango protein powder, your favorite kratom powder dosage, a spoonful of honey, and 1 cup of crushed ice. Pulse all together until its seamlessly blended and enjoy!
